Hand throttle

This is a pretty straight forward and simple mod to do. When you run a rough trail and you are bouncing over rocks your foot tends to bounce on the gas pedal in turn making it hard to control the vehicle. That problem is solved with this baby, use the hand throttle in rough areas and you will regain allot of control that is lost from your foot bouncing on the pedal. Here's one for you, have you ever been on one of those long steep climbs and right at the top your engine dies? It's happened to me a few times and it was enough to make my rear end suck holes in my seat. No problem! One foot on the brake, one foot on the clutch and your hand on the hand throttle. Apply some fuel to the engine, let the cutch out until there is tension on the drive line and then slowly let off of the brake. Presto, you didn't even roll backwards and you don't have to buy seat covers. This feature alone makes the hand throttle worth it's weight in gold. If you ask me of course.

Notice the d-shaped ring that is screwed onto the housing. This can be used to tighten the housing down to prevent it from moving when you don't want it to. I really like this feature, with this thing tightened all the way down you would need a hoist to pull that lever up.
I ran the cable down the shifter and through the boot to the underside of the tub.
Here you can see how I connected it to the throttle body. I ran the cable through a standard solderless electrical connector and looped it back through. I then placed the loop over a stud on the throttle linkage pulled tight and crimped it. You will need to come up with a method of immobilizing the cable sheath so that the cable can move independently, otherwise it won't work properly. there you have it, all done.
Just an extra shot thrown in for perspective.
